I engaged Jason Mrak of  Belle Properties Samford to sell my property because he was the agent I had purchased it through eight years earlier. As a buyer then I had been very impressed by his honesty and professionalism and I hoped that prospective buyers of my property would regard him in the same light. I was not to be disappointed.

Because of the flatness of the market, it took longer to sell my property than I would have hoped but through it all Jason worked tirelessly to find committed buyers. Because my work frequently takes me overseas, I was forced to increasingly rely on Jason to oversee all the little details a buyer normally would attend to. I found him to be dedicated and utterly reliable and prepared to go well beyond the call of duty to ensure a good outcome. In particular, he came to my rescue when a legal search revealed the plumbing at my property had not been fully council certified. I was working abroad at the time but Jason took charge of dealing with the regional council inspectors and the plumber to ensure all necessary work was completed speedily and economically.

House hunting is an exciting yet demanding process to go through, once we’ve decided on Samford or surrounding areas we got referred to three of the best real-estate agencies in the area. All the agents were of an outstandingly high professional caliber with exceptional properties on their books.

Competition is always good, however Jason, we signed contract through you  because you seemed to have a natural understanding for the characteristics we were seeking in our new home, you only showed us the properties that ticked all the boxes, your sense of humor, your good communication skills with phone calls and emails every time our attention is required.

You have walked the extra mile by fixing small things not expected from an estate agent, you gave my hubby a lift from Ferny Grove station when I was running late (while viewing a property with another agent). Once we’d set our heart on a vacant property you even made sure the garden was well kept throughout the period. You made all the legal necessities look so effortless while guiding us through the various steps. One would think this is where the job of an estate agent ends!!

Yet you were willing to mow the lawn during the settlement period, you did regular checks to the vacant house while we were out of town.

Then to top it all you spoiled us with wine, snacks, camp chairs and a lantern to enjoy our very first sunset from the deck of our new home…so refreshing after a tiring six hour drive. That was totally unexpected, however sincerely appreciated!

Not to mention a goodie bag with basic necessities and all the contact numbers for schools, services and contractors who maintained the property on behalf of the owner in the past.

We have now dealt with Jason on two occasions relating the purchase and sale of 14 Chalmers Ct, Samford

Village. The first when we purchased the property in 2011 and again when we recently sold it in November

2013.

On both occasions we were extremely impressed with his professionalism and general lack of “high pressure”

sales tactics that we have become used to, having bought and sold a range of properties over the

years.

As far as the sale was concerned we set him, what we now recognize to have been a “mission impossible target”

with the property overpriced, no open houses, no signs on the property, etc.

His option here would have just been to put it on the internet, do nothing else but no, he found people to

inspect the property, identified potential buyers and kept in touch.

The property was sold below the original asking price but what we consider to be a very good price in the

current market but we were also able to purchase a new home at much below what we had expected to pay as

well- so we are very happy.

• We liked Jason’s relaxed and jovial nature which mixed well with his professionalism and knowledge of the real estate market in Samford and the surrounding regions.

We know that the other real estate agents we spoke with would not have matched the final outcome. Overall Jason worked hard for his commission, and we were extremely satisfied by the result of his efforts. We had been searching for our new home for almost 12 months and of all the salespeople we had encountered during that time we felt Jason the most honourable and professional agent. Jason actually delivered in personal attention instead of merely spruiking it. Therefore the choice of who to represent us was easy when it came time to sell our own home.

Jason was given the highly challenging task of selling our home within 2 weeks to enable us to attend an upcoming auction as unconditional buyers on a property. Jason worked swiftly and thoroughly to have the property listed in 3 days on the internet complete with photos and dialogue. He scheduled the first open house that weekend and contacted buyers he was aware of to generate interest. We received our first offer within the first 10 days and had a contract the night before the auction.

Jason worked diligently and attentively, tenacious to the end to have a contract signed at 10pm and never once did he complain or hint he had better things to do on a Friday night. The contact and assistance continued all the way to settlement, with regular updates and always seeking to help where possible. On the day of moving he even had the thoughtfulness to generously offer us a dinner voucher – demonstrating empathy and an understanding of his clients and industry. It was refreshing to deal with him we were always comfortable in his methods and would have no hesitation in recommending him to others in future.

Jason delivered on the unenviable task we set him with flying colours and enthusiasm, he is deserving of any rewards he receives.
